SK Hynix is expected to hold the No. 1 spot by revenue in the 2026 HBM market (estimated at around 50%). It is currently producing HBM4 in small volumes while running final quality validation to get into Nvidia’s next-gen GPUs. Samsung is entering HBM4 volume production to mount a counterattack. According to some reports, Samsung applied 10nm-class sixth-generation DRAM and a 4nm process to achieve operating speeds above the JEDEC standard (8Gbps), and agreed to be a primary HBM4 supplier for AMD’s next-generation AI accelerator.
